CCEW.com.au is closing on 1 July 2026

Due to new NSW Government regulations mandating the BCNSW eCert portal for CCEWs, we have no option but to cease operations. Here is everything you need to know about the transition.

Important Update: Closure Date Extended

The NSW Government has delayed the regulatory changes from the original 1 March 2026 date to 1 July 2026. This gives electricians an additional four months to prepare for the transition to the eCert portal.

What this means for CCEW users:

  • CCEW.com.au will now remain operational until 1 July 2026
  • All existing monthly subscriptions were cancelled as of 1 March 2026 (since we had expected to close then)
  • Pro upgrades are now available again for users who want premium features until the new closure date
  • New subscriptions will run monthly until the closure. When the platform closes, any unused subscription time will be pro-rated and refunded

We apologise for any confusion caused by the regulatory delay. You're welcome to if you'd like continued access to Pro features during these final months.

The Government Mandate
From 1 July 2026, the Building Commission NSW (BCNSW) is mandating the use of the new eCert portal for all electrical compliance certificates.

PDF CCEW forms, including those generated by CCEW.com.au, will no longer be accepted as valid compliance documents.
Service & Billing
You can continue to use CCEW.com.au normally until 1 July 2026. All features remain active.

Premium upgrades are available for those who want full access until the closure date. Subscriptions will run monthly until the platform closes, at which point any unused time will be pro-rated and refunded.

Why we are shutting down

We built this platform to make your paperwork easier. Unfortunately, the new government mandate and the closed design of the eCert portal make it impossible for us to continue serving you.

No Integration

The eCert portal is a closed system. The government has not provided an API or any method for third-party software to submit data on your behalf.

CCEW PDFs Retired

Our core service is generating compliant PDF forms. Since BCNSW will no longer accept PDFs, the documents we create will cease to be legally valid.

Manual Entry Only

The new system requires electricians to log in and manually enter data for every job. There is no way for us to automate or pre-fill this for you.

Service Shutdown

1 July 2026

CCEW.com.au will go offline. You will no longer be able to log in or access your data. All new certificates must be submitted via the BCNSW eCert portal.
